I met a young kid today during a Rock The School Bells meeting, I believe his name was Christopher. Christopher had a life threatening condition and at the very first Rock The School Bells the money raised went to help Christopher get through his condition. To be able to see a young kid happy and healthy due to the power of community organizing through the power of Hip Hop made me realize even more that what we do is important and impacts lives. This year we celebrate Rock The School Bells 4.
Our aim is to empower and educate our youth about the importance of higher education and increase personal development through the usage of hip-hop.
Through the power of Hip Hop, Empowerment, and Education; I hope we change many more lives such as young Christopher. I encourage all of you to spread the word about how powerful Hip Hop can be if used in the right way. Its time to stand up and do something. We cant just wait for change to happen. We all have the power to create a better world, you just have to start with your self. The Revolution wont be televised, The Revolution is here, and its starts with Self Revolution. Each one Teach one.
